LCD-PI40

The LCD-PI40 is identical to IPS-PI40 but comes with a normal (non IPS) TFT display. It is designed for the Raspberry Pi (RPi), and provides a 4.0” display. It features a 4.0” TFT LCD 320x480 resolution display with 65k colors, and a touchscreen. Push buttons are optional.

The LCD-PI40 connects directly to the GPIO connector of the RPi which provides everything the module requires. It uses only SPI pins and one GPIO pin. The rest of pins are free for other use. Optional push buttons require no additional pins, their status can be read over SPI. The shield also includes 4 mounting holes for easy mounting.

The LCD-PI40's driver makes it a primary display for RPi which means that there is no need for any special libraries or software to controll the LCD. Common software like Qt, Xwindows, etc. can be used for developing applications.
